Vanessa Feltz appeared to take a subtle swipe at her ex-fiancé Ben Ofoedu during Thursday’s episode of her Channel 5 daytime show, just days after the singer married another woman in a lavish Cumbria ceremony.
The 63-year-old presenter made the remark whilst discussing working relationships with spouses alongside guests including Carrie and David Grant, former BBC Strictly star James Jordan and her daughter Saskia Joss.
As the panel members gushed about their successful working dynamics with their partners, Feltz interjected with a pointed joke: “And I’m sitting here single, single and all alone.”
The comment came mere days after Ofoedu, 53, tied the knot with aesthetics expert Vanessa Brown, whom he affectionately calls “Vanessa 2.0”, in a £100,000 wedding earlier this week.
Feltz and the Phats & Small singer were together for 16 years before their relationship ended in 2023 following reports of his infidelity that were leaked to the press.
The couple had been engaged since 2005, when they met at the height of Feltz’s broadcasting fame whilst Ofoedu was a lesser-known pop singer.
They had initially planned to marry in 2007 but remained engaged for over 15 years without walking down the aisle.
Their relationship came to a dramatic end when Ofoedu admitted to cheating, leaving the TV presenter heartbroken and publicly humiliated.
The 53-year-old singer married Brown at a stunning Cumbria castle ceremony attended by 72 guests, including Boyzone’s Shane Lynch as best man and fellow bandmate Keith Duffy.
The timing of Feltz’s on-air comment appeared particularly pointed given Ofoedu’s recent remarks about their relationship.
Speaking to MailOnline following his wedding, the singer declared: “I wasted 17 years of my life.”
He added: “I don’t believe in long engagements any more. You don’t want to get married if there’s a question mark over your engagement.
“If you don’t want to commit to someone, that’s fine. But don’t pretend you do and hold on to someone for a long period of time. Let them free, let them fly.”
Despite quickly moving on during the live broadcast, Feltz hinted at further off-air discussions, teasing that there had been “censored” conversation between the guests during an ad break, though she didn’t reveal what was said.
Friends have rallied around Feltz in the wake of Ofoedu’s wedding and his harsh comments.
Appearing on Friday’s episode of Vanessa on 5, singer Francine Lewis revealed the presenter was feeling “pretty blue” and vowed to help find her a suitable partner.
“Vanessa deserves a man that will treat her like a queen not a door mat,” Lewis declared on the programme.
A close friend told MailOnline: “Vanessa’s been really strong – he might be an ex but she still has a heart that got broken – he didn’t hang about! Vanessa’s got her girls rallying around her in support.”
Despite the heartbreak, Feltz recently expressed hope about finding love again, though she admitted in her Daily Express column that it’s “impossible and agonising” to find someone new, describing the dating scene as “a desert out there”.
Meanwhile, Brown revealed the couple hope to start a family within the next year and are planning a business venture together.

She dismissed negativity surrounding her husband’s past, stating: “When it comes to his last relationship, a lot of it is spiteful and untrue.”
“Part of me feels sorry for her but it’s my life and I don’t care,” she concluded.
