Penny Lancaster has shared a heartbreaking post in honour of a late family member after revealing the sad news earlier this year.
The 54-year-old former model confirmed in March that her beloved family dog Bubbles had died after being diagnosed with cancer.
Lancaster and husband Rod Stewart, 80, are famously dog-lovers and have adopted pooches from rescue shelters.
The loss seems to have hit Lancaster hard, with the TV personality having previously shared various snaps on her social media of herself snuggled up with her adorable four-legged friends.
Months on from the sad loss, Lancaster posted a new tribute to her Instagram Story on Thursday evening, sharing an image from a dog-themed account.
The touching drawing depicts the back of a woman as she sits facing a field while the sun rises, with a golden dog beside her, complete with angel wings.
A speech bubble shows the woman stating: “We still talk about you,” with the dog replying: “I know”.
Underneath the shared image, Lancaster penned: “Bubbles,” along with a white heart emoji.
The moving picture comes three months on from the sad family news, with the Loose Women panelist having written an Instagram post on a Story back in March which read: “Our fur baby Bubbles.
“I still think you left too soon but I’m thankful for your time. Heaven’s lucky to have you and so was I.”
The sad words were written over an image of clouds against a blue sky, taken from a plane.
The adorable Cavapoo was present in several of Lancaster and Stewart’s social media posts, along with their second pooch, Labradoodle Lilly.
Earlier in the year, Lancaster had shared a sweet photograph of her two dogs as she shared the news of Bubbles’ illness.
“My fur babies, my gifts from up above, my angles on earth, you warm my heart and lift my spirits,” she began.
“Bubbles our curly one has been diagnosed with cancer and although his recent surgery was successful, sadly it’s spread.”
Delving into the support Bubbles is receiving, Lancaster went on: “Our Lilly from @battersea keeps him company and never leaves his side and the two of them never leave my side.
“Companions for live, for as long as that life will be and I feel blessed for every moment I spend with them.”
She ended the statement with a love heart emojis and a series of moving hashtags that read: “#dogs #unconditionallove #friendsforlife.”
