Channel 4 viewers were left complaining on Friday night as many issued a plea over Gogglebox.
Fans of the show argued they used to enjoy tuning in each week but that there was now “too much” reality TV being showcased.
Others also fumed over the content of the shows being watched by the cast of Gogglebox, with this week’s episode featuring Virgin Island, Race Across the World, The Piano, I Kissed a Boy and Made in Chelsea.
Some were of the opinion that the personal relationship-centred shows such as Virgin Island weren’t appropriate viewing.
One took to X to share: “It must be my age but I don’t want to see all this personal stuff. It’s not entertaining in my view. #gogglebox.”
“#Gogglebox FFS time to reboot the world,” a second added, with a third posting: “I think I’d prefer to stick pins in my eyes than watch this s***. #Gogglebox.”
“Love #Gogglebox, watched every series, but can you go back to them watching soaps, dramas, there’s too much reality TV shows being watched @C4Gogglebox,” another argued.
Echoing this, someone else penned: “#gogglebox god be with the days we would watch them watching great dramas such as ‘line of duty’ etc.”

The reality show-heavy instalment comes after previous episodes have seen similar complaints.
Last week, viewers expressed their frustration over Gogglebox showing too many political shows, again calling for more dramas and soaps.
Many of the cast shared their opinions on Nigel Farage last week, with couple Dave and Shirley Griffiths discussing the Reform leader.
Dave shared how he shares some of Farage’s takes but at other times completely disagrees with him.
Other families also debated Reform’s success in the latest election, sharing mixed responses. However, it seems there was a call for political discussion to be removed from the “lighthearted” show.
One viewer fumed on X: “#Gogglebox used to be something lighthearted and fun to watch, now they are ostracising viewers for having different politic views. Watched for years. I’m done. Just rename Channel 4, Channel Leftie/woke and be done.”
Another gave a mixed review as they shared: “#Gogglebox Ignoring the politics. Loved Gogglebox tonight.”
“Right – won’t be watching the thick cretins on #gogglebox who haven’t got a scooby on politics anymore. @Channel4 stick this programme up your BIASED a***,” another furious viewer added. (sic)
