Jeremy Clarkson, 65, has sparked concern and prompted floods of well wishes after revealing he’d injured his hand.
Fortunately, not a victim of the deadly farming equipment on his farm, Clarkson revealed he’d sustained a “bloody” injury while playing pickleball.
The Who Wants to Be a Millionaire host has been embarking on more athletic hobbies as part of a lifestyle overhaul following a heart procedure last year.
After feeling “clammy” and noticing a “tightness” in his chest, Clarkson sought medical attention, which resulted in him having a stent fitted back in October.

“It seems that of the arteries feeding my heart with nourishing blood, one was completely blocked and the second of three was heading that way,” he wrote in his Sunday Times column at the time.
Luckily, Clarkson returned to full health but had to drastically alter his diet and lifestyle to keep the woes at bay.
Cutting out the likes of red meat, chips, butter, and a bunch of other food stuffs, Clarkson described the new lifestyle as “horrific” after just one week.
However, he’s been sticking to his new active way of life, as proven in his pickleball venture, but following his post on Saturday, it has not come without its risks.
“Turns out pickleball is bl**dy dangerous,” Clarkson penned on Instagram alongside a photo of his hand covered in blood.
Clarkson is clutching his pickleball racket in the snap as the graphic wound can be seen on one of his fingers.
Inevitably, it didn’t take long before fans rushed to share their reactions to the injury, with many voicing bemusement as well as concern.
“You are not supposed to hit the ball with your hand, jeremy,” one fan cheekily replied before a second questioned: “How, in all that’s holy, did you do that?”
A third also spotted the chance for a joke: “You seemed to have gotten your self into a right pickle there Jeremy!”
Meanwhile, a fourth added: “Only Jeremy could do this to himself because he’s not at all accident prone.”
“How’s he done that?” a fifth baffled follower said while another echoed: “Only Clarkson can turn pickleball into something risky.” (sic)
Clarkson’s latest update comes as his former Grand Tour castmates Richard Hammond and James May have returned to screens.
While Clarkson features in archive footage, The Not Very Grand Tour is fronted by Hammond and May as they reflect on some Grand Tour highlights from yesteryear.
However, fans will be hoping Clarkson will reunite with his former Top Gear presenting colleagues as Amazon has unveiled a series of Grand Tour specials in the pipeline.
