Broadcaster Alex Dyke has warned that James Bond could become “very woke” and “Americanised” following Amazon’s creative takeover of the iconic franchise.
Speaking to GB News, Dyke expressed concerns about Amazon’s leadership of the 007 series after long-time producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson announced their departure.
Speaking to GB News, broadcaster Alex Dyke: “Basically, we know the people behind Bond with the Broccoli family.
“For the last 30 years, Broccoli’s daughter Barbara and her half brother Michael G. Wilson, have been looking after the franchise and done very well with it.
“When you think of what a Bond Daniel Craig was. Now, we haven’t had a new movie for four years, and now it looks like Amazon are going to take over the helm.
“Apparently relations are strained between Barbara and Steven and Amazon, which to me sounds like they’ve even though it’s their baby, they’ve been pushed aside.

Under the new agreement, Amazon MGM Studios will take creative control of the James Bond franchise, while Wilson and Broccoli remain co-owners of the 60-year-old property.
The joint venture marks a significant shift for the franchise, which has been under the stewardship of the Broccoli family for decades.
The move comes after Amazon’s acquisition of MGM in 2022, which included rights to the vast catalogue of Bond films.
The restructuring follows Daniel Craig’s final appearance as 007 in 2021’s “No Time to Die,” with speculation mounting about the next iteration of the franchise.

“It is time for our trusted partner, Amazon MGM Studios, to lead James Bond into the future,” Wilson said in a statement.
The veteran producer explained he would now focus on art and charitable projects.
The departure marks the end of an era for Wilson, who alongside his half-sister Barbara Broccoli has been a guardian of the franchise for decades.
Barbara Broccoli also announced her departure, reflecting on her family’s legacy with the franchise.
“My life has been dedicated to maintaining and building upon the extraordinary legacy that was handed to Michael and me by our father, producer Cubby Broccoli,” she said in a statement.
