A moment of television comedy left Nigel Farage in stitches during a recent GB News broadcast, as footage showed Jacob Rees-Mogg peering over a wall during an investigative report.
The presenter erupted with laughter whilst transitioning between programmes, asking viewers: “Is that not one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen on British television?”
The amusing scene occurred as Nigel prepared to hand over to the former Conservative MP’s State of the Nation programme.
The clip that prompted such mirth featured the ex-Tory MP attempting to investigate a suspected migrant accommodation facility in rural Somerset.
The light-hearted exchange between the two political figures provided an unexpectedly entertaining moment for GB News viewers, with Nigel unable to contain his amusement at his colleague’s investigative antics.
During his investigation, Jacob travelled to the remote location in a Jaguar accompanied by a GB News camera operator, discovering the hotel entrance secured with padlocks and monitored by security personnel.

The former MP, wearing his characteristic tailored suit, attempted to engage with a security guard stationed at the entrance, offering a friendly greeting.
The guard’s response was to shut the door of his sentry box, refusing any interaction with the Eton-educated politician.
Jacob observed multilingual signs requesting visitors not to litter, which he suggested indicated the presence of asylum accommodation.
The hotel’s location, approximately 1.5 miles from Bristol Airport in the North Somerset countryside, struck him as particularly isolated, prompting his observation that it appeared “a good place to hide illegal migrants in.”
During his report, Jacob questioned whether the facility housed migrants, asking: “What could be going on here? Do you think all this way from Dover, 200 miles from the Channel, we have illegal migrants here the Government is too ashamed to admit to?”
His investigation revealed substantial security measures at the location, with restricted access preventing any meaningful engagement with staff or confirmation of the building’s purpose.

The presence of foreign language signage, combined with the heavy security presence, strengthened his suspicions that the hotel served as migrant accommodation.
Neither Government departments nor local authorities would clarify the facility’s function when approached for comment, despite repeated requests for information about the hotel’s current use.
The Home Office provided only a broad statement regarding asylum accommodation across the country, revealing that hotel usage had decreased from more than 400 facilities during summer 2023 to under 210 at present.
