Fans of Amanda Holden’s Netflix show Cheat: Unfinished Business will be disappointed to learn the dating show is understood to have been axed.
The blow to the popular presenter comes despite Cheat’s impressive ratings when it landed on the streaming platform earlier this year.
The 54-year-old had high hopes for the series, which saw the presenter, along with relationship expert Paul C. Brunson, guiding eight former couples who had been torn apart by cheating through a retreat in Majorca.
However, it seems the show hasn’t been given the green light for a second series, which will no doubt have come as a setback to the Britain’s Got Talent judge.

A source stated: “Despite Cheat being popular with audiences Netflix has decided to pursue new show formats.
“Bosses love Amanda and are in talks with her on three different show ideas, so it’s likely fans will see a lot more of her on the platform in the future.”
Speaking to The Sun, they continued: “Amanda is still very much one of the hardest working women in showbiz and is booked & busy for the foreseeable future.
“On top of hosting the UK’s biggest radio show Heart Breakfast every weekday, it recently overtook Radio 2, BGT auditions commence in October.”
A spokesperson for Netflix also confirmed to the publication “Cheat: Unfinished Business won’t be returning.”
Thankfully, it doesn’t seem as though Holden is short of work, with the media personality having recently filmed series four of her BBC show alongside Alan Carr.
Alan and Amanda’s Greek job hasn’t been given an official release date, but reports suggest it could hit screens in late 2025 or early 2026.
Mrs Holden’s new quiz show, The inner Circle, is understood to be launching on BBC One in October.
Despite high viewership, the series prompted a mixed response when it launched in April.
While some found the concept entertaining and intriguing, others slammed the premise, with one going as far as to say on X that the show was “contributing to society’s moral decay.”
A programme synopsis from Netflix reads: “As they reunite at a retreat, each pair will be guided through their issues by relationship expert, Paul C. Brunson, in the hopes that they can face up to their past mistakes, rebuild trust and move forward – either together or apart.
“Will the cheaters be able to fight for forgiveness and win back the hearts of those they betrayed? Or will they have to say goodbye to their relationship for good?”
The unsavoury subject matter prompted a string of responses, with many baffled as to why Holden is willing to take part, while others felt the subject manner was too “triggering” to be used as the basis of light entertainment.
At the time, another person shared: “Well this is triggering #CheatUnfinishedBusiness.”
