Former Gogglebox star Amy Tapper has revealed she has dropped three dress sizes in a year, sharing a striking comparison photograph on Instagram on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old posted side-by-side images wearing the same style dress in different prints, captioning the post: “What a difference a year can make! Same dress, different print and 3 sizes smaller.”
Tapper looked stunning in a blue floral dress at a family wedding over the weekend, where she served as a witness for her cousin’s marriage.
The television personality, who previously announced a six-stone weight loss in April, has been documenting her fitness transformation on social media, regularly sharing updates with her followers about her health journey.
In April, Tapper shared an emotional video celebrating her six-stone weight loss milestone, becoming visibly tearful before jumping up and down with her personal trainer.
“Wow wow wow 6 stone down!! I cannot believe it – I am so proud of myself,” she wrote on Instagram, adding that she would share more details of her journey soon.
She credited her trainer for providing support beyond physical training: “You are not only my personal trainer but truly a friend and more like a therapist – I couldn’t do any of this without you and your ongoing support, thank you for everything.”
Earlier this year, she posted a mirror selfie wearing a jumper from 2022 that now hangs loosely on her slimmer frame, marking five stone lost at that point.
Tapper rose to fame on Channel 4’s Gogglebox alongside her mother Nikki, father Jonathan and brother Josh, joining the programme in 2013 when she was just 13 years old.
The family left the show in 2018 after five years, during which time Tapper faced persistent online trolling about her weight.
She revealed in November 2022 that she would search her name on Twitter during episodes, only to find cruel comments.
“My dad and I would both get nasty comments about our weight and I’d also get people criticising my voice for being too loud,” she explained.
She added: “It was quite upsetting. There were people on Twitter calling us ‘the fat family from Gogglebox’ but my mum and my brother have never had any problems with their weight,” MailOnline reports.
The years of online abuse led her to try numerous unhealthy fad diets that failed to produce lasting results.
Tapper’s transformation began in earnest in early 2022 when she embarked on a challenge to lose 3.5 stone, achieving dramatic results by dropping 33cm from her waist in just five weeks.
She credits her success to making “positive lifestyle changes” rather than relying on quick fixes, regularly posting workout videos featuring weights, boxing and gym sessions.
The reality star has been candid about recognising her bigger build from a young age compared to peers, though she was never bullied.
She now receives messages from followers sharing their own fitness goals and progress, with many thanking her for inspiration.
“More recently it has come full circle with people on my social media sharing in my weightloss journey and sharing their goals and progress too.
“It’s an amazing feeling when they thank me for being their inspiration,” she said.
