Madonna has been blasted by a Broadway actor Anthony Ramos, who revealed her to be the “most terrifying” celebrity he’d spotted in the audience.
Ramos, 33, shared that back in 2015 the Queen of Pop was in the audience when he starred in the stage musical, Hamilton.
He detailed how the 66-year-old had “her iPad in her face” the whole time.
Speaking to Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, the actor was asked to share the most “terrifying” famous face he’s seen in the crowd when he performed in the popular musical.
“The most terrifying was Madonna with her iPad in her face. She was like this the whole time,” he replied, imitating the way in which the singer stared down at the screen.
He went on: “I was like, ‘damn, shorty.’ I’m like, ‘If you not enjoying it that much, you know the door’s right there. You ain’t gotta stay here.'” (sic)
Ramos featured in the roles of Philip Hamilton and John Laurens in Hamilton from 2015 until late 2016.
Lin-Manuel Miranda, who created the musical, shared once how he had banned a celebrity from going backstage.
Taking to X, which was Twitter at the time, he penned in a post: “Tonight was the first time I asked stage management NOT to allow a celebrity (who was texting all through Act 2) backstage. #noselfieforyou.”
It was speculated at the time that he was cryptically referring to Madonna, however the film-maker, actor and singer never confirmed the person’s identity.
The singer’s publicist disputed the rumours at the time, stating to Us Weekly: “It’s not true.
“She was invited backstage four different times. She texted post show when they were doing their fundraising pitch.
“Madonna had already made a generous donation.”
The Material Girl hit-maker has been at the centre of a few controversies over the years, but earlier this year she and music icon Elton John, 78, “buried the hatchet” after a decades-long feud.
In April, the pair ended their bitter rift after the piano-playing superstar appeared on Saturday Night Live.
The two pop legends have not seen eye to eye for years, with Sir Elton once branding Madonna a “fairground stripper.”
However, time has proved a healer for one of the music industry’s frostiest fallouts.
Sir Elton appears to be softening and issued a two-word plea to Madonna to fix things between them.
