Romeo Beckham has posted a message on social media calling for kindness and honesty, just hours after his former girlfriend addressed false rumours linking her to his elder brother.
The 22-year-old model and former footballer shared an Instagram Stories post on Monday, June 16, with a simple but pointed message: “Be nice to people and don’t tell unnecessary lies.”
His words appeared over an image from the 1953 romantic comedy Roman Holiday, featuring Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck.
The still included dialogue from the film stating: “What the world needs is a return to sweetness and decency.”
The timing of Romeo’s post appeared significant, coming shortly after model Turnbull issued her own statement on Instagram.
Turnbull broke her silence to deny any romantic connection with Brooklyn Beckham, 26, stating she would no longer tolerate harassment based on falsehoods.
“I’ve avoided speaking on this topic to prevent adding fuel to the fire, however, it’s come to the point where I feel the need to address it so I can move on,” she wrote.
“I will not continue to receive harassment or be embarrassed on the basis of lies, to fit a certain narrative.”

She firmly denied any romantic involvement: “I have never been romantically involved in ANY capacity at ANY point with the person in question.
“Nothing between us has occurred further than a school friendship at age 16.”
Romeo and Kim’s relationship became public in November 2024 when he shared their romance on Instagram Stories.
The couple later appeared together in a post documenting a family trip to New York City that same month.
People magazine confirmed their split on June 4, though the pair had ended their relationship weeks earlier.
The breakup occurred in May 2025 after approximately six months together.
Despite Cruz Beckham previously telling an Instagram commenter that “Brooklyn and Kim never dated,” speculation persisted about an alleged past romance.
Reports also suggested tensions arose regarding Kim’s attendance at family events where Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz, 30, were present.
According to sources, David Beckham chose to have Kim present at his 50th birthday celebration in May, despite Brooklyn’s discomfort.
“Brooklyn didn’t want to be in the same room as her, and he told his dad that. But David opted to have Kim there over Nicola,” a source told People magazine.
Another source added: “Brooklyn and Kim know each other from the past, and his family knows he’s not comfortable around her.”
Despite the reported family tensions, Romeo has maintained public support for his relatives.
On June 13, he congratulated his father after David was named for knighthood by King Charles, posting “So so proud of you” alongside a photograph of them together.
