Romeo Beckham’s ex-girlfriend Kim Turnbull has issued a statement after weeks of her name being dragged into the famous family’s rumoured feud.
Turnbull, 24, had remained silent on the speculation until Monday, June 16, when she finally penned a response on social media.
Turnbull recently dated 22-year-old Romeo but has also been lined with his older brother Brooklyn, 26, who is thought to be embroiled in a dramatic family row.
It has been speculated that Turnbull was romantically involved with Brooklyn before his relationship and subsequent marriage to billionaire heiress Nicola Peltz, with the couple now understood to be on bad terms with the David and Victoria Beckham.
Finally hitting back at rumours she was also embroiled in the drama, Turnbull wrote on Monday: “I’ve avoided speaking on this topic to prevent adding fuel to the fire, however it’s come to a point where I feel the need to address it so I can move on.”
She continued: “I will not continue to receive harassment or be embarrassed on the basis of lies, to fit a certain narrative.
“I have never been romantically involved in ANY capacity at ANY point with the person in question.”
She made clear the nature of her relationship with Brooklyn, emphasising how it had purely been a teenage friendship.
“Nothing between us has occurred further than a school friendship at age 16,” she wrote.
Seeming keen to remain distanced from the drama, she added: “I would like to remove myself from the ongoing conversation and set the record straight for the sake of everyone involved.”
Turnbull’s name cropped up in speculation as claims circulated which suggested Brooklyn had concerns about her relationship with his brother.
A wider feud is thought to be ongoing between Brooklyn and wife Peltz, 30, and his parents David and Victoria.
Reports of a rift within the Beckham family first circulated earlier this year, when Brooklyn skipped his father’s 50th birthday celebrations.
Since then, different members of the family have issued social media updates somewhat fueling the rumours, particularly when Brooklyn shared a clear statement about “choosing” his wife.
Last month, he eldest Beckham son shared a romantic video of himself and Peltz riding a red motorcycle, set to Lana Del Rey’s National Anthem playing in the background.
He captioned the wholesome video: “My whole world x I will love you forever x I always choose you baby x you’re the most amazing person i know xx me and you forever baby [heart emojis]”.
Amid the family tensions, Peltz has been sharing loving posts about her husband on social media.
Brooklyn also seems to have snubbed his dad over the weekend on Father’s Day.
