Mindy Kaling has promoted Brooklyn Beckham’s Cloud 23 hot sauce range on Instagram, signalling support from within Meghan Markle’s inner circle amid the ongoing Beckham family feud.
The Office star, who is part of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s California social circle, shared an Instagram story on Thursday featuring Brooklyn’s Sweet Jalapeno and Hot Habanero sauces.
Kaling’s endorsement comes weeks after Harry and Meghan hosted Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz at their Montecito mansion, where they reportedly expressed “unwavering support” for the couple.
The timing appears significant as Brooklyn and Nicola remain estranged from his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, with the younger couple notably absent from recent family celebrations, including David’s 50th birthday.
Kaling captioned her Instagram post: “These are so delicious,” while tagging both Brooklyn and Cloud 23’s official Instagram handles.
The 45-year-old Emmy winner is closely connected to the Sussex circle, having received one of Meghan’s first jars of strawberry jam in 2023.
She also appeared on Meghan’s Netflix series “With Love, Meghan” earlier this year, where their “I’m Sussex now” interaction became one of the show’s biggest talking points.
Despite promoting Brooklyn’s hot sauce venture, Kaling does not follow either Brooklyn or Nicola on Instagram, and they are not among her followers.
The Cloud 23 range, which includes the Sweet Jalapeno and Hot Habanero varieties Brooklyn launched last year, was named after David Beckham’s squad numbers at Real Madrid and LA Galaxy.
The reported Montecito dinner followed claims that Brooklyn and Nicola were invited to a VIP soiree at Harry and Meghan’s California home.
A source claimed that Nicola and Meghan had a “deep and meaningful” chat and formed a bond after being accused by critics of being “homewreckers” and wives who “tear apart their husbands’ families”.
The couples reportedly clicked over their “similar family feuds”, with another source saying Meghan “has a lot of sympathy for her” because both women have been branded “homewreckers”.
Harry was said to have offered Brooklyn his “unwavering support as someone who has been through similar”.
However, a pro-Sussex source later distanced the royal couple from the gathering, claiming Brooklyn and Nicola were “not directly invited” and that the timing was “pure coincidence”.
The Sussexes have reportedly swapped mobile numbers with Brooklyn and Nicola amid the fallout with his family, which has been dubbed “Beckxit” after Harry and Meghan’s estrangement from the British Royal Family.
David and Victoria are currently “heartbroken” over the family feud, with Brooklyn and Nicola notably absent from the footballer’s 50th birthday celebrations and Victoria’s birthday bash.
Brooklyn also missed a family party at the Beckhams’ Cotswolds home, an idyllic trip to France, and a meal at Notting Hill restaurant Core.
He sat out a “boys'” fishing trip with his brothers to the Scottish Highlands that David organised six months ago.
A source said the Beckhams “are done with” Nicola, adding: “She won’t change and Brooklyn’s parents are absolutely furious.”
