Amanda Owen delivered a shocking foul-mouthed swipe at her ex-husband Clive during a chaotic interview on Lorraine whilst promoting Channel 4’s Our Farm Next Door.
The 50-year-old shepherdess, who split from Clive in 2022 after 22 years of marriage, made explicit remarks about their relationship during her appearance on the ITV show.
Standing next to her derelict farmhouse on Ravenseat Farm in Swaledale, North Yorkshire, Owen candidly discussed life with her nine children.
The interview took an unexpectedly chaotic turn as she delivered her unfiltered comments about her former husband whilst cameras rolled.
Owen reflected on her unexpected journey to motherhood, asking herself: “Why have I got nine children?”
She explained that she “never set out to have nine children” and that “it was never a big dream to have a big family, that didn’t come from anywhere.”

The shepherdess emphasised there was never a deliberate plan, stating: “Believe me, there was never a sit down moment where we said ‘Let’s try and repopulate Swaledale’.”
Despite the challenges, Owen described how her children affect her daily life: “They keep me positive. They keep me amused. They keep me busy. They run me ragged. They drive me mad.”
The most shocking moment came when Owen told the camera: “I haven’t got anything to complain about.
“Well I have, obviously, Clive for a start.” She then delivered her most explicit remark, saying: “Yeah you can tell Lorraine we’re in perfect f***ing harmony.”
The timing proved particularly awkward as the camera panned out to show Clive driving around the farm on a tractor in the background.
Owen continued her complaints, telling viewers: “I complain about him. I complain about the state of the houses. Complain about the kids throwing things everywhere.”
Owen has previously spoken about her philosophy on raising children in the countryside, describing the valuable life lessons they learn on the farm.
She told Yorkshire Life magazine: “Life here prepares you for life anywhere. It gives you a can-do mindset, common sense, and a work ethic.
“It gives you a can-do mindset, common sense, and a work ethic. It teaches you that you can turn your hand to anything, that you won’t give up, and that sometimes life is hard and you don’t get the results you want, no matter how hard you try.
“You want to keep your child safe, of course. But danger comes in many forms, whether it’s vehicles, fast-flowing rivers, things with teeth and hooves, or even through a small screen.”
The shepherdess believes in teaching resilience rather than avoiding risk entirely. “You can’t live your life being risk-averse, and I wouldn’t teach that or champion it,” she explained.
Owen acknowledges the various dangers on the farm, but emphasises the importance of learning respect and how to operate safely rather than complete avoidance.
