Victoria Beckham has returned to social media with a clear message following the reports that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle hosted her son Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz for dinner at their Montecito home.
The gathering, which took place last week, included approximately 20 guests, amid rumours of family tensions on both sides.
The dinner has drawn attention as both couples are reportedly experiencing strained family relationships, with the Beckhams allegedly feuding with Brooklyn’s parents, David and Victoria Beckham, whilst the Sussexes continue to navigate their complicated relationship with the Royal Family.
The dinner coincidentally occurred around the same time as David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebrations, which Brooklyn and Nicola notably did not attend. This absence fuelled speculation about tensions within the Beckham family.
According to reports, Brooklyn and Peltz had planned to attend David’s birthday festivities, which is why they skipped this year’s Met Gala, but ultimately remained in Los Angeles instead.
In the hours after news of Brooklyn and Nicola’s dinner party attendance emerged, Victoria has sent a clear message that she’s not going to let her son’s newfound support network stop her from enjoying downtime of her own.

In fact, with the news of Harry, Meghan, Brooklyn, and Nicola’s dinner dominating headlines, Victoria hosted and attended a star-studded gathering of her own.
And in what may be interpreted as a gesture towards her son and the Sussexes, Victoria decided to flaunt said dinner party on her Instagram page in a series of snaps.
The 51-year-old took to the social media platform on Friday morning to share a snap alongside her sister Louise after her sibling joined her at a restaurant.
“Lovely dinner last night. I love you @louisesadams,” Victoria typed, but the Spice Girls star didn’t stop flaunting her lavish dinner gathering there.
In another snap, Victoria revealed she and her sister were joined by some recognisable faces, including Gordon Ramsay’s wife and author Tana Ramsay
“And this lot turned up too!” she typed alongside a laughing emoji before she signed off: “Best Friends for over 20 years!!!” (sic)
Alongside Victoria, Louise and Tana were Jo Manoukian, Maria-Louise Featherstone, and Ken Paves.
Rumours of a rift within the Beckham family have been circulating for months, with Brooklyn and Nicola’s absence from David’s 50th birthday celebrations in London earlier this month intensifying speculation.
One theory suggests the tension stems from Brooklyn and Nicola disapproving of his younger brother Romeo’s relationship with model Kim Turnbull, whom Brooklyn was close friends with years ago.
Other sources told Us Weekly that drama between Brooklyn, Nicola and his parents has been ongoing since their April 2022 wedding, when Nicola reportedly refused to wear a gown by Victoria’s fashion label.
The dinner with the Sussexes appears to have provided an opportunity for the two couples to bond over their shared experiences with family tensions.
“Harry and Meghan were very empathetic and very kind to them both,” a source told The Sun. “Harry was fully aware of the situation and offered Brooklyn his unwavering support as someone who has been through similar.”
Meghan and Nicola reportedly found particular common ground, with a source noting: “Meghan had a lot of sympathy for her, and said there was shared common ground.”
Despite their own family challenges, the Sussexes continue to navigate a strained relationship with the British Royal Family since their departure from royal duties in 2020.
In a recent BBC interview on May 2, Prince Harry admitted that his father, King Charles III, “won’t speak to him” as the monarch battles an undisclosed form of cancer.
“I would love reconciliation with my family,” Harry told the BBC. “There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex remain estranged from the Royal Family following their exit, subsequent interviews, documentaries, and Harry’s 2023 memoir Spare, which contained numerous private revelations about the royal household.
Despite the ongoing family tensions, sources suggest that Brooklyn’s relationship with his parents is “definitely not beyond repair.”
“They love and are always there for him. They’re just hurt and disappointed that he’s now playing no part in family life,” a source told People.
David recently included Brooklyn in his Mother’s Day Instagram post on May 11, suggesting potential for reconciliation.
The 50-year-old former footballer also included a mention of his son in a snap from a boys’ trip with his other sons Romeo and Cruz, telling his oldest child that he was “missed”.
