Amanda Owen has issued a light-hearted apology after making a playful post on Instagram – just weeks after fans voiced concern for her.
The Our Yorkshire Farm star took to the platform on Tuesday evening to share a series of adorable goat photos, using a string of puns in the caption to encourage followers to tune into her latest show.
She wrote: “Don’t want to have to be gruff with you but I’m not kidding you when I say that you need to get onto More4 and tune into Our Farm Next Door. It’s on NOW so stop acting the 🐐 and instead be the G.O.A.T!”
Owen rounded off the post with a cheeky apology for the wordplay, adding: “Sorry, sorry, sorry, the sun must’ve got to me.”
This comes after Owen, 50, sparked concern from fans following a chaotic live interview with Lorraine Kelly last month, where she appeared from Ravenseat via video link alongside a restless horse.
The Our Yorkshire Farm star was promoting the return of her More4 series Our Farm Next Door, which follows Owen, her ex-husband Clive, and their nine children as they restore a derelict farmhouse.
Despite the show’s rustic charm, Owen admitted the renovation has taken a back seat to lambing season, saying: “It’s just been a fog of sheep!”
Dressed in a figure-hugging vest and jeans, Owen struggled to keep the horse still throughout the chat, prompting Lorraine to ask if it wanted to “toddle off.”
Owen laughed it off: “It’s always chaos and calamities here… we’re just making it up as we go along.”

She also addressed her ongoing working relationship with Clive following their “civilised separation,” noting: “We’ve got nine children… reality comes with its ups and downs, it’s not all sunshine and springtime.”
As the interview continued, Owen described the daily disorder at the farm, “goats running through” and kids covered in “lamb poo”, and touched on homeschooling her 13-year-old son, Sydney.
But her distracted demeanour, animated gestures, and constant horse wrangling left some viewers uneasy, with many taking to social media to express concern.
One wrote: “#Lorraine What on earth… She’s obviously been given the horse to lean on. Should not have continued with interview.”
“Amanda Owen looks in need of help. Right now. Welfare check asap. @lorraine @ITV,” a second agreed, before a third said: “Yeah something is off #lorraine.”
“Is Amanda ok? Something doesn’t seem right #Lorraine,” another asked before a fifth concerned viewer added: “She’s not well bless her. #lorraine.”
However, Owen still received plenty of support from fans who applauded the Yorkshire Shepherdess for her TV appearance.
“Amanda Owen on #lorraine who has 9 children in the Dales looking incredible. Super woman,” one fan praised.
