Patsy Palmer has seemingly addressed claims she appeared ‘awkward’ in her Celebrity Big Brother exit interview as she was asked about axed housemate, Mickey Rourke.
The EastEnders actress, 52, got fans talking when she refused to speak about the US actor, 72, after Big Brother asked him to leave for a series of offensive remarks and an “unacceptable” outburst.
During his stint on the ITV reality show, he upset several people including 21-year-old JoJo Siwa when he made homophobic comments towards her and Ella Rae Wise, 24, who was in tears after Rourke’s inappropriate sexual comments.
He also had an altercation with Love Island star Chris Hughes, 32. Palmer was also left upset after Rourke continuously criticised her cooking.
When asked about the heated moment during a chat with hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best for her Celebrity Big Brother exit interview, Palmer stopped talking.
The telling moment came when Best, 40, recalled: “There were a few tricky moments you had to deal with in there. People complaining about your broccoli, that was one.”
Palmer’s demeanor shifted as she stopped smiling and went quiet, leading to an uncomfortable pause in the conversation.
“You don’t want to talk about the broccoli, do you… Absolutely fair enough,” Best stated.
