Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller has declared how “proud” she is of JoJo Siwa after taking Britain by storm in the Celebrity Big Brother house.
Siwa has become a fan favourite on the ITV’s reality TV show – striking up a close friendship with Love Island star Chris Hughes.
The child star recently opened up about her gender identity on the show, following homophobic comments made by axed contestant Mickey Rourke.
Discussing Siwa’s success on GB News, Miller said she is “very proud” of her, and claimed she is “laughing all the way to the bank” with her various successful ventures.
Reflecting on Siwa’s time in the Celebrity Big Brother house so far, Miller said: “I follow her, I talk to her at least once a week, I talk to her mom, and I’m very proud of her.
“A lot of those people that are her super-fans right now, me included, knew her as a little kid, and they’ve grown up with her. Anytime I’m asked about JoJo and her music, I always say that kid is laughing all the way to the bank.”
Discussing Siwa’s potential success in the house, Miller revealed she is “a good competitor”, and will be “great at the challenges” that the celebrities will have to take part in.
Miller told GB News: “I know that JoJo is a good competitor – she likes to compete, and she’s going to be great at the challenges, whether they’re physical or mental. If she has to sing or dance or act, she’s going to be good.”

Reminiscing on Siwa’s early career – appearing on her TV show Dance Moms, Miller revealed that Siwa was a “feisty character” and was filled with “charisma”.
Miller claimed: “She was not quiet! She was feisty, she had charisma, she was precious and adorable. You looked at her face and you just thought she was this angel – and then she opened her mouth.
“She was a very charismatic, intense, strong dancer. And we did lyrical and contemporary, so we had to bring her down a little bit.”
Discussing Siwa’s many business ventures, including her merchandise lines, Miller admitted it was “always her dream” to have her own dance wear line, but JoJo ended up having “every item you could think of” with her name on it.
Miller concluded: “When she left Dance Moms, she had a deal with a huge conglomerate over here. You couldn’t walk into any of our big box stores, our our Walmarts, our Targets, without seeing her name, without seeing toys that she designed and clothing that she did.
“I dreamed of having a dance wear line in one of those stores, and she had every single item you could ever think of, and it had her name on it.”
Miller added: “Then the music, she started as a little kid doing this cute little boomerang song that one of my besties actually produced that, and she had over a billion views on it.
“She’s just gone up and up and up.”
