ITV Celebrity Big Brother viewers were left puzzled by Chesney Hawkes’ flamboyant outfit during last night’s eviction show as Trisha Goddard became the second celebrity to be evicted from the house.
Viewers couldn’t help but notice The One and Only singer sporting an eye-catching ensemble – a sparkling white waistcoat, black trousers and a glittering belt with his hair gelled back and partly curled at his forehead.
The unusual look prompted immediate reactions on social media, with many viewers questioning what had inspired the 53-year-old’s dramatic transformation.
Fans took to social media to express their bewilderment at Hawkes’ dramatic makeover and one penned: “What the actual f**k is Chesney wearing, if he’s trying to battle gender norms then I think gender norms are winning.”
“Why is no one talking about Chesney’s insane outfit?” someone else noted before a third added: “I know Chesney can be a bit odd sometimes but this outfit is on a whole other level!”
A fourth expressed: “Chesney in a glittery waistcoat for eviction night was not on my bingo card, but now I wish it was… what a legend.”

The sparkly ensemble provided entertainment for many watching at home, as someone else added: “The Chesney stuff and his outfit had me in stitches today.”
The mystery behind Chesney’s sparkly attire was later revealed by a pop culture and TV news account on social media, noting: “If you’re wondering why Chesney looked dressed up during the eviction, it’s because Trisha finally used her prize and he became her butler for her final day in the house!”
During tonight’s episode, viewers will see why Hawkes was dressed that way as Big Brother tells Chris Hughes, Goddard and Danny Beard that their treats from day one in the house are set to expire imminently, so they must use them.
In a decision between Beard and Hawkes, Goddard chooses the singer as her personal butler for the day, naming him Butler Hawkington.

Beard helps Hawkes get ready to be a butler, prompting him to tease: “You look like a gay vampire, and I love it.”
Walking into the living room, Beard announces Hawkes’ makeover to the rest of the housemates, and jokes: “This is Big Mother, please welcome your butler, Chesney Hawkes.”
The singer is then given his orders by Goddard throughout the day, right up to the point where the star is evicted from the house, leaving Hawkes to feel partly at fault for her leaving.
For Hughes, he chooses to have a Chinese takeaway as his reward, with Big Brother allowing him to choose a housemate to enjoy his takeaway with.
Unsure who to pick, Hughes ponders: “Oh my god. Obviously, I want to choose JoJo. As an American, I want her to enjoy a proper f***ing British Chinese, you know. I kinda wanna have it with Jack though, cause it might be his last night.”
Goddard was the second celebrity to be evicted from the house and admitted to hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best that she was “kinda sad” that her time had come to an end.
In a candid moment, Trisha explained that her time on the show had provided valuable respite from her health concerns and revealed: “It meant a lot, it’s respite, it’s a holiday from having to think about cancer.”
She appreciated that everything had been “cleared” with her medical team, allowing her to “be like a child again” during her time in the house.
