Caitlyn Jenner hit back at Tim Walz after he claimed that supporters of Donald Trump’s Make America Great Again movement are “scared” of his masculinity.
The former vice-presidential candidate made the remarks during an appearance on California Governor Gavin Newsom’s new podcast.
“I think I scare them a little bit, [which is] why they spend so much time on me,” Walz told Newsom.
When the California governor burst into laughter, the Minnesota governor doubled down on his assertion and added: “No, I’m serious, because they know I can fix a truck, they know I’m not bulls****ing on this,” he added.
Walz has returned to the national stage following his failed election run alongside Kamala Harris, launching a speaking tour of Republican districts and claimed Republicans targeted him during the election campaign because they feared he would appeal to male voters.
He recalled the attacks on his masculinity from Republicans, who mocked the way he waved, used a straw, and questioned his hunting and mechanic abilities.

“I saw it from me, and not that I spend too much time thinking about this and it just baffled me how much time they spent trying to attack me that I was not masculine enough in their vision,” Walz said.
The Minnesota governor suggested the Republican focus on his masculinity revealed their own insecurities and added: “They focused on it obsessively, which I think again is their obsession, their weirdness. I think I could kick most of their a***s.”
Jenner swiftly responded to Walz’s masculinity claims with a pointed jibe on social media and directly challenged the Minnesota governor.
“I am more ‘masculine’ than this [clown emoji] Gov Walz,” wrote Jenner.

Her retort came after Walz’s appearance on Newsom’s podcast where the pair discussed President Donald Trump’s appeal to male voters, with the former tennis champion being a vocal supporter of Mr Trump despite his policies on gender issues.
The exchange has drawn significant attention as both figures represent contrasting positions in America’s ongoing culture debates, along with Walz’s comments sparking immediate mockery across social media platforms.
“Only thing that scares me about Tim Walz is how he loads a shotgun,” wrote Shawn Farash on X, referencing Walz’s struggles with his firearm during a campaign hunting trip.
Another user dubbed him “Tampon Tim” who “thinks he’s Rambo, but he’s really Elmer Fudd”.
Jenner has faced her own criticism for supporting Trump despite his executive order recognising only two genders.
In January, after congratulating Trump on his inauguration, Jenner received backlash from users calling her “Bruce” and questioning her support for policies seemingly at odds with transgender rights.
“You’re a disgrace to your entire community,” wrote one critic.
Despite this, Jenner declared she was “happier than ever” supporting Trump.
