Clarkson, Hammond and May are set to reunite for a brand new Amazon Prime series.
The beloved motoring trio are reportedly scheduled to return to screens in The Not Very Grand Tour on April 18.
This comes just months after fans bid an emotional farewell to The Grand Tour last year.
The new programme has been described as a “motoring comedy documentary series” according to the British Board of Film Classification.
It marks the latest chapter for the presenters who first began working together on Top Gear more than two decades ago.
The announcement will delight British motoring enthusiasts who have followed the trio’s adventures since 2003.
In the new series, the team will celebrate the combustion engine with nostalgic flair.
Viewers can expect to see the trio looking back at footage from their past adventures and test drives.
The first episode, titled The Glory and The Power, will showcase their enduring passion for motoring.
Amazon Prime Video has yet to announce how many episodes the series will include.
The show follows their emotional departure from The Grand Tour, which concluded with two special episodes last year.
May had previously hinted at a potential reunion, saying: “I wouldn’t rule it out, but you do have to bear in mind that we’re all getting on a bit.”
The trio’s journey together began on Top Gear in 2003, creating what would become a British television institution.
Their time on the BBC show ended in 2015 when Clarkson was sacked following an “unprovoked physical and verbal attack on a producer”.
Hammond and May followed Clarkson’s departure, with the presenters famously saying “they came as a package”.
The three then moved to Amazon Prime in 2016 to create The Grand Tour.
Last year, they concluded their Amazon series with an emotional farewell that saw them return to Kubu Island in Botswana, a location featured in their 2007 Top Gear special.
At the time, May suggested it was “the right time” as they were “too old”.
In the final Grand Tour episode, the hosts reflected on their twenty years of television together.
Clarkson remarked: “We’ve travelled thousands and thousands and thousands of miles and had thousands and thousands and thousands of adventures.”
Hammond added poignantly: “Never thought that what we do together would go on as it has. I was excited when I got the job way back, very excited. But I never dreamed it would grow into a career and life-defining adventure.”
“I can’t pretend it isn’t going to be a wrench ending this, because it is,” he continued.
The episode concluded with the trio recreating a scene from 17 years earlier.
“It just remains for me to say thank you very much for watching,” Hammond said.
The first episode of “The Not Very Grand Tour” will land on Amazon Prime Video on April 18, 2025.
Phil Churchward, who worked on both Top Gear and The Grand Tour, will direct the new series.
All three presenters – Clarkson, Hammond and May – are officially listed in the cast.
