Dan Edgar’s Dancing On Ice dreams are fading ahead of this weekend’s semi-final after his narrow escape in the last week’s elimination.
Bookmakers have now dramatically shifted their odds, with Edgar’s chances of victory drifting to 5/1.
This marks a significant fall from grace for the actor, who was previously on course for a top spot finish.

New data from Betfred’s Kayley Cornelius suggests Edgar’s collapse has come to the benefit of Sam Aston, 31.
The Coronation Street actor has now emerged as a serious challenger to Michaela Strachan’s long-held frontrunner status.
The race has narrowed to such a degree that now only a five per cent probability separates Strachan and Aston’s chances of glory.
“It seemed like a one-horse race for this year’s Dancing on Ice champion, with Countryfile’s Michaela Strachan the firm favourite to skate to victory,” Cornelius observed.
“However, Sunday night’s performances have turned the competition on its head, as Sam Aston is now hot on Michaela’s heels,” she added.
Aston is now priced at 11/8 to win, representing around 42 per cent probability of victory.
Strachan still remains ever so slightly ahead at odds of 11/10.
Either way, Cornelius suggests the developments are “bad news” for Edgar.
Mollie Pearce’s journey ended in tears after a split decision from the judges.
Three votes went to Dan Edgar, while Oti Mabuse cast the sole vote to save Mollie.
Despite her emotional reaction, The Traitors runner-up insisted they were “happy tears”.
“I’ve had the best time, and these are happy tears! Honestly, I’ve met a friend for life and this was the experience of a lifetime, I’ve loved it,” Mollie told hosts Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern.
Her elimination came after a musicals-themed weekend that saw her perform to Mamma Mia.
The episode also featured the series’ first perfect score of 40, achieved by Anton Ferdinand.
However, the former footballer is a distant favourite with 16/1 odds of being crowed champion.
