Actress Michelle Keegan and husband Mark Wright endured a terrifying ordeal when their mansion was targeted by masked thieves earlier this week.
Pregnant Keegan, 37, and her former The Only Way Is Essex husband Wright, 38, were forced to lock themselves in their bedroom while their home was raided by would-be thieves.
The couple reportedly heard a window smash and an alarm sound as a group burst into their Essex mansion on Tuesday evening.
Reports state four suspects were in the home for around a minute before they rushed out after hearing Wright yelling.
Authorities were alerted thanks to the couple’s security system, with nothing stolen from their £3.5million mansion.
However, the duo were understandably said to be “very shaken up” by the frightening incident.
An Essex police spokesperson confirmed the incident, telling The Mirror: “It was reported four suspects had forced entry to an address, carrying out a search of the property before fleeing.
“Within eight minutes, our officers were on the scene. We are continuing to support and safeguard the victims and are conducting high-visibility patrols in the area.
“We are exploring a number of lines of inquiry including but not limited to forensic opportunities, CCTV and witness statements.
“Anyone with information should contact us as soon as possible.” GB News has reached out to the police force for a comment.
Providing further details about the incident, a source told The Sun: “It was a traumatic experience for both of them but they are relieved that neither of them were injured.
“Mark did the sensible thing and stayed with his wife to make sure she was okay and they waited for police to arrive before leaving the room.”
They added the two were “very shaken up” by the raid, going on to explain Wright had “acted swiftly”.
In the past, the couple have shared updates on their lavish home, posting renovations on social media.
They recently shared a glimpse into the transformation of their spiral staircase, with their garden renovations and driveway work also making their Instagram page.
The former Coronation Street and Towie stars have been married since 2015, and at the end of last year announced they were expecting their first child.
