The Masked Singer star Snail could be set to be exposed as one of two popular Bridgerton stars as new data emerges ahead of this weekend’s show spectacular.
Whilst Nicola Coughlan – who plays Penelope Featherington – was initially the front-runner, her two co-stars Claudia Jessie and Kathryn Drysdale have recently been thrown into the mix according to bookmakers.
Viewers have been sharing their thoughts online as to who they think could be hiding under the mask and used the clues from over the weekend to come up with their conclusions.
During their show debut and VT, the first clue stated that Snail was filmed in the gardens of a stately home – something Bridgerton is full of.
Introducing themselves, Snail expressed: “Dearest gentle Masked Singer viewers, it is I, Snail. I am honoured to make your acquaintance.”
“You find me in a trifle of disguise” and “the chance to take part in The Masked Singer was irresistible”, were two clues also said during the video.
Snail also expressed that whilst a snail could live a “sheltered life” the star underneath is more “worldly than you think”.
Hinting at Penelope’s dramatic storyline during her first series of Bridgerton, Snail also noted: “Are you wondering what scandalous secrets I may reveal?”
Items also shown in the VT included a “Welcome Home” tag, an old school uniform, and a “Chivalry & Etiquette” book.
After performing Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter, the final riddle for the judges was: “I can look rather fancy here standing in lace, but sometimes my mind, I can be up in space.”
Judge Davina McCall was adamant that Emma Willis was hiding behind the mask, whilst Mo Gilligan brought up West End star Amber Davies.
Maya Jama thought of royal correspondent Jennie Bond before Jonathan Ross threw a curveball and thought it could be Dame Mary Berry.
However, according to bookmakers, Bridgerton stars Jessie and Drysdale have become frontrunners over Coughlan to be unmasked as Snail.
Whilst Coughlan currently sits at 4/1, Gambling.com has priced Jessie at 6/4 and Drysdale at 13/8.
Bookmakers aren’t the only ones who feel either Jessie or Drysdale could be hiding underneath though as viewers at home have also thought the same thing.
Taking to X during Saturday night’s show, one watcher penned: “Snail is Kathryn Drysdale #TheMaskedSinger #themaskedsingeruk.”

“Is Snail Claudia Jessie? Sounds just like her!” another expressed before a fourth noted: “If that is not Bridgerton’s Claudia Jessie then blow me down! COME ON JUDGES”! (sic)
