Lulu, 75, has dropped an exciting announcement for her fans after fears began to swirl that the legendary singer would be retiring from her music career altogether.
The singer extended her final tour after several dates sold out and made no secret of her desire to stop touring in the way she has done for decades once it’s over.
Now, the singer has once again shown her willingness to keep singing and recently revealed her collaboration with The Beach Boys.
Posting an image of a show poster on her Instagram page, she penned alongside it: “Very excited to announce that I will be joining the legendary @thebeachboys in their only UK show.
“At the @englefieldestate, near Reading, on Sunday 20th July 2025! In order to get tickets, first please Pre-Register your details at: https://arep.co/p/thebeachboys.”
Fans were quick to flock to the comment section and share their joy of the news, with one exclaiming: “Ohh definitely one I’d love to watch.”
“Hell of a show, Lulu!” another expressed before a third agreed: “That’s very exciting!”
Another happy fan penned: “This will be amazing, so excited to see you all together! Feels like I’m young again!” (sic)
Back in September, the singer joined BBC Radio 2’s Scott Mills and opened up about her decision to stop touring.
Mills quizzed Lulu on her decision to call time on touring after all these years and asked: “Your tour’s been extended and for anyone who doesn’t know, why is the tour called Champagne for Lulu?”
She replied: “Well because this is my 60th year and we thought we’ve got to have a good title for it.
“I’m lucky, I worked with Jennifer Saunders, I did several Ab Fab episodes when they were doing the series.
“And I did the film and then one of my posse said, ‘Do you know what would be a good title? Champagne for Lulu’, and I thought, ‘That’s perfect!’
“So Jennifer then introduced me when I did the Palladium… the thing about doing this tour is that it sold out, it was kind of emotional because I’m just not going to do touring the way I’ve done it before – cramming the dates in etc.
“Jesus, give me a break! I’m 75! It’s the travelling – when I’m on the stage, I’m at home – but the travelling that goes with it is exhausting.
“So I said I’m not doing this again (although) I will never stop working.”

Looking ahead to her time away from touring, Mills asked if she would be following in the footsteps of many former musicians and making a documentary about her life.
Excitedly, she replied: “Oh, yes. I think so! (laughs). I am – in the works, it’s in the works. I can’t say anything more because it’s not done yet but yeah, that’s on the cards.”
