Amanda Holden revealed that her daughter Hollie was “super upset” after she rushed home from Royal Variety Performance rehearsals to spend just an hour with her.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge, 53, opened up about the incident during Tuesday morning’s Heart breakfast show alongside co-host Jason King.
Despite making time between rehearsals with Alan Carr to see her daughter, Holden admitted she was left baffled by Hollie’s reaction.
“I saw my daughter for an hour last night, she was super upset with me. I mean she’s upset with me about something anyway every day,” she told listeners.
Holden described her attempts to make the most of their limited time together: “I got into bed with her for an hour, I gave her nice tickles, that’s what she likes, nice tickles on her arm.”
However, the evening took an unexpected turn when Hollie became upset for reasons unknown to her mother.
“You know when you’ve only got that hour to sort of go ‘I love you, okay yes I’m sorry for…you know, I don’t know what I did wrong last night, to be honest’, she’s at that age,” the presenter explained.
The frustrated mum added: “I rushed home, I’m knackered myself, I just want to go to bed and I’ve got a teenager.”
The incident came just a day after Amanda and Hollie enjoyed a glamorous evening together at the UK premiere of Wicked at The Royal Festival Hall in London.
The mother-daughter duo made a striking appearance on the red carpet at the star-studded event.
Amanda turned heads in a figure-hugging latex jumpsuit, though the outfit would later cause her some embarrassment.
The star discussed how wonderful the night was on her Instagram, posting a video of herself and her daughter getting ready.
She penned in the caption: “What an incredible night #wickedmovie @universalpicturesuk wearing @atsukokudolatex #HRH in @yolancris Glam @summerdyason.
“Honestly the most stunning and in equal parts both moving & hilarious performances. Beautifully directed The singing, of course, is next level …. X” (sic)
The Britain’s Got Talent judge suffered a wardrobe malfunction during the screening, which she later discussed candidly on her radio show.
Speaking about her latex outfit on Heart breakfast show, Holden revealed the extraordinary measures needed to wear it.

“Oh my gosh, I was poured into that suit last night. I had to have, and I can’t use the word of the potion that was put in the suit to make sure I could squish into it,” she explained.
The presenter detailed how a special lubricant, rather than talcum powder, was used to help her into the outfit.
“Then of course, the minute you start getting warm, your own sweat and glow adds to that. So I was in a very squelchy, but warm [outfit],” she added with characteristic humour.
