I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! presenters Ant and Dec issued a cheeky jibe towards Mike Tyson and Jake Paul’s recent Netflix fight.
Back in March, it was announced that Tyson – who is often regarded as the greatest heavyweight boxer of all time – would be fighting social media personality, Jake Paul.
The fight was streamed on Netflix on Friday night, where Paul coasted to victory against the 58-year-old via a unanimous decision.
Paul was slammed for going “easy” on Tyson after deciding to not go for a knockout against “Iron Mike” – with many also going against Paul for even fighting Tyson in the first place.
The fight resulted in the scorecards reading 80-72, 79-73, 79-73 in Paul’s favour, with the fighter who is 31 years Tyson’s junior even taking time to bow to his opponent in the final moments.
Whilst many have been discussing the recent fight, it came to the attention of McPartlin and Donnelly who decided to have a slight jibe towards their recent match.
After introducing the latest 10 celebrities to the show by throwing them headfirst into a trial, the presenters couldn’t get over the fact they were able to secure Barry McGuigan, 63.
McGuigan was nicknamed The Clones Cyclone and held the WBA and lineal featherweight titles from 1985 to 1986.
McPartlin turned to his co-host and noted: “I can’t believe Barry McGuigan is on the show!”
This prompted Donnelly to take the opportunity to slam Tyson and Paul’s fight, and jibed: “Well, it was either do this or fight a YouTuber on Netflix.”

Fans of the show didn’t let the moment go unnoticed and immediately took to their X accounts to point out the joke from Donnelly.
One commented: “Jake Paul will be fuming Barry McGuigan’s in the jungle he’s missed out on a cracking opponent there.”
“Good job Barry is in the jungle, Jake Paul would be ringing him up for a scrap,” another added before a third penned: “Oh my days, them referencing Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson.”
“Not the Jake Paul x Mike Tyson shade,” someone else pointed out before another said: “Dec throwing pure shade at the Tyson and Paul fight! These two are subtle but SO good!” (sic)
Speaking about how he felt heading into the jungle, McGuigan said: “Five foot six in height, five-foot 10-inch reach, big hands, do you want me to stop?
“My name is Barry McGuigan, I am the former world featherweight boxing champion. I won the world title in front of 19 million people but I don’t think I was as concerned as I am going into the jungle that is for sure.
