Strictly Come Dancing professional Gorka Marquez opened up about a particular struggle he suffered during the weekend with partner Punam Krishan.
On Saturday night, the couple performed the Foxtrot to Man! I Feel Like A Woman! by Shania Twain and received a score of 18.
However, Marquez admitted he found one particular element of their performance a “struggle” – his PVC trousers.
Walking down the stairs to be introduced, Marquez donned skin-tight, shiny, black PVC trousers alongside a black mesh t-shirt.
His costume sent fans at home wild and they took to their social media to express their gratitude towards the wardrobe department.
Marquez and Krishan joined It Takes Two host Janette Manrara on Thursday evening where she couldn’t not bring them up in conversation.
She noted: “We need to talk about those trousers because, on Saturday, you were trending on social media, thanks to them! So many comments!
“People were saying the trousers alone were worth a 10, ‘perfectly parcelled’ was another one, my personal favourite, ‘Gorka in those trousers was worth the license fee alone’.”
Whilst eating a biscuit – which he revealed was because he had been up at 4am and hadn’t eaten lunch – he responded with a phrase in Spanish.
Manrara translated it to “tighter than the nails of a submarine,” before Krishan interjected: “You struggled to get them on and off didn’t you!”
Delving into the issues he faced with them, Marquez revealed: “I had talc, and then between your legs the chaffing. A lot of that, I was a bit like the guy in Friends.”
Krishan noted the frustrations they both had with the trousers and added: “We were just about to go on for the announcement of the couples and he’s like ‘What do I put on, do I put on powder, do I put on cream, do I put on sudo cream?’
“I was like not now Gorka, not now, just dance!”
“I love how you had to ask a woman what to do for tight trousers,” Manrara joked before Krishan continued: “He was like what is going to make me chafe the least!”

The confession from Marquez comes after he was left inundated fans’ support as they claimed he and partner Punam Krishan were severely undermarked for a second week in a row – despite receiving positive comments from the judges.
However, despite fans backing the couple, bookmakers have given Krishan odds of 2/1 to be the next star eliminated from the show.
Betfred’s Kayley Cornelius revealed: “After narrowly escaping the dance-off, Toyah Willcox is once again betting market favourite to be next eliminated, priced at 1/2.
“While her timing saved her and meant she’s allowed to dance another week, she still sits in a worrying place as she’s situated at the bottom of the leaderboard and has a long way to go.
“It’s clear she’s far behind her peers in terms of skill, so she’ll need to make a major turnaround by next Sunday if she wants to stay competitive.”
