The Repair Shop star Will Kirk has welcomed a new addition to his family, sharing a sweet snap of his newborn son’s feet and updating his fans on the wellbeing of mum and baby.
Kirk and his wife Polly – a doctor – married in August 2021 a year after their planned nuptials were delayed due to the Covid lockdown, before welcoming their daughter a year later.
The star recently revealed the couple had welcomed their second child and penned a sweet tribute to his wife and newborn son, along with two sweet snaps to mark the moment.
Sharing an adorable photo of the newborn’s feet along with another snap of him carrying the baby out of the hospital, he penned: “Three become four. I’m very proud of my lovely wife for the last 9 months.
“Mum and baby doing well, including an incredibly excited big sister.”
Fans were quick to congraulate the star and flooded the comment section as one noted: “Ahhh huge huge congratulations to you all Will.”
“They’re addictive aren’t they Will? Best wishes to you and your wife,” another quipped before a third added: “Congratulations! Wonderful news.”
“Beautiful need. Sending huge congratulations to the whole family,” someone else said before another pleased fan expressed: “Congratulations, Will and family, lovely to hear the news.”
A sixth commented: “Well done Mrs Kirk, congratulations Miss Kirk on becoming a big sister – the hardest job of all and Will, many many congratulations to you and your family. How lovely and what good news.”
Kirk previously opened up on what it was like to become a father for the first time, and told HELLO! back in 2022: “I love her so much. It was quite tricky to leave home this morning to come down to The Repair Shop because she’s so sweet in the mornings and she just looks up at you and she’d just woken up.
“I’m absolutely in love. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done I think, having a child,” he added.
Kirk often shares glimpses inside his family life on social media, delighting fans with glimpses of his little girl, whose name he’s kept private.
His sweet baby news comes after the tight-knit cast at The Repair Shop has been through a difficult summer, as host Jay Blades was axed by the BBC due to being charged with coercive behaviour towards his estranged with Lisa Zbozen.
After his charging, the star was edited out of an episode and has reportedly been axed from this year’s upcoming Christmas special.
