Jermaine Jenas’ wife has announced a new business venture, while the former footballer has removed the BBC from his social media profiles following his dismissal from the broadcaster last month.
The former footballer, who scored one goal for England during his playing days, was sacked after allegations of inappropriate behaviour.
He has since fronted up and accepted he’s made ‘mistakes’ during his marriage to Ellie Penfold, with the pair previously tying the knot back in 2011.
Ellie has been silent since her husband’s axing, with the pair working through their problems together.
But she’s now broken her silence and taken to social media for the first time since the scandal.
Announcing a new business venture, she said: “I’m so excited to finally reveal something very special that I have been working on for the last 3 years with @steph8ami.
“@preppyskin is a new personal care brand aimed at Kids and teens.
“As a mother of 4, I knew that there was a gap for something immersive, fun but also (and most importantly to my eldest) Has to look amazing for her Get ready with me routines!

“We can not wait to finally launch this brand, and reveal all next month!”
Ellie has received widespread support since the announcement.
“This is going to be so great can’t wait, so proud of you,” wrote one user.
A second said: “Such a great idea. I’m always looking for skin care for my 14 year old! Good luck xx.”
A third stated: “Sooo proud of you babe !!!! Well done!”
A fourth wrote: “Good luck and amazing, sounds like you’re really on to something.”

Regarding Jenas, meanwhile, the former Newcastle, Tottenham, Nottingham Forest and QPR star has hinted he has no plans to try and return to the BBC.
Up until recently, the ex-footballer still had the broadcaster’s name in his Instagram account.
Yet Jenas has now opted to remove it, while also curiously deciding to keep TNT Sports in there.
Jenas provided commentary as Liverpool beat Ipswich 2-0 in their Premier League opener last month.
He has been absent from the channel ever since, however.
Yet Jenas still appears to be hopeful of working for TNT amid reports saying that he’s likely to be given a lifeline in television by the broadcaster.
